The much-awaited Antyodaya Express (daily) from Tambaram to Tirunelveli will be flagged off by minister of state for railways Rajen Gohain from Tambaram at 4.30pm on Friday. The train with 16 LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) general second class coaches and two luggage-cum-brake vans and will make a special maiden run from Tambaram on Friday.
Regular services of the train from Tirunelveli to Tambaram (No 16192) will commence on Saturday (June 9) and from Tambaram to Tirunelveli (No 16191) will commence on Sunday (June 10). Antyodaya Express will leave Tambaram at 12.30am and reach Tirunelveli at 3.30pm the same day.

more... the return direction, the train will commence its journey from Tirunelveli at 5.30pm and reach Tambaram at 9.45am the next day. The train will have nine halts between the two destinations. It will halt at Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Trichy, Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Mayiladuthurai, Villupuram and Chengalpet.
