Addressing a press conference here today Mr Agrawal said that the electification from Alwar to Hissar via Rewari was under the vital consideration of the railway board as initial indicators and norms were favourable. He, however, said that survey conducted for similar work along Jaipur-Sawai Madhopur section indicated that non-availability of adequate power infrastructure beyond Jaipur along the route and lack of prospects in rise of revneue and passenger traffic did make the project non-viable for now.
