HUBBALLI: The Sainagar Railway Level Crossing (LC) gate on Hebballi Road has become a curse for road commuters travelling to and from Shivalli and Hebballi villages. This gate is shut around 30 times a day as 12 daily and weekly trains run between Hubballi and Dharwad.Following gate closure, the line of waiting vehicles extends for about a kilometre and often spending over 30 to 60 minutes.Tippanna Majjagi, a social worker in Unkal, said that earlier, the LC gate towards JK School was a big hurdle. “Now, this gate, which is the access point to Shivalli and Hebballi, has become a hurdle for movement of vehicles.
