Goyal also laid the foundation stone for the construction of the new railway line on Supaul-Araria section. The 95.55km-long project would involve an expenditure of Rs1,605.17 crore. It would pass through Supaul and Araria parliamentary constituencies and have Supaul, Pipra, Triveniganj, Raniganj and Araria as major stations.
He also dedicated to the people the 8.60km-long part of the Biraul-Harnagar section that was converted to broad gauge entailing an expenditure of Rs89.70 crore.
Similarly, the 41km-long Raxaul-Narkatiaganj section, converted to broad gauge, was also dedicated to the people by the railway minister. The conversion was completed on July 25 with an expenditure of Rs172 crore.

@all: At this time, the PNR Forum is functioning again, albeit at a greatly reduced volume and efficiency. Refreshing PNRs is a very cumbersome affair. We may expect this to end as well, eventually, as the Govt. tightens these controls further. At IRI, we CANNOT waste any more time on this fruitless...
