Meerut: Sarabjit Singh, a 33-year-old Army jawan, fell off a running train near Najibabad in Bijnor district under mysterious circumstances in the early hours of Friday. He is critical.
Belonging to the Bengal Engineer Group, Singh was immediately moved to a local hospital and later moved to Military Hospital in Meerut. Singh was en route to Jammu to join his duty when he met with the accident. A resident of Bajpur town of Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand, Singh was travelling in Begumpura Express.
According to additional divisional railway manager (ADRM), Moradabad,
Sharad Srivastava, “The preliminary inquiry into the case has revealed that Sarabjit Singh was travelling in train number 12237 (Begumpura Express) in an inebriated state. Besides, he did not have a ticket. He was standing near the toilet when travelling ticket examiner (TTE) Murari Lal asked for a ticket after which he misbehaved with Lal. Later, the TTE called for security forces in the train to nab him, but by that time Singh disappeared into another coach and was untraceable afterwards. Later, it came to light that he fell off the train. Murari Lal is a 56-year-old railway employee with a clean service record. An inquiry has been set up to probe how the army man fell off the train.”
Meanwhile, Singh’s brother Rajinder Singh told TOI, “We came to know about his state at 2am on Friday when someone from the Bijnor district hospital called us up from my brother’s mobile phone. He was lying unattended with just the first aid given to him. We don’t know what happened to him. We rushed him to the military hospital in Meerut. He is still unconscious.”(With inputs from Harveer Dabas in Bijnor)

@all: At this time, the PNR Forum is functioning again, albeit at a greatly reduced volume and efficiency. Refreshing PNRs is a very cumbersome affair. We may expect this to end as well, eventually, as the Govt. tightens these controls further. At IRI, we CANNOT waste any more time on this fruitless...

We had put in MANY, many years of PAINSTAKING effort to develop the PNR Prediction infrastructure, and our Sr. Legendary Members have helped countless people...

There are some minor changes to the PNR Forum: 1. The main PNR feed will only show UN-predicted (by you) PNRs which are coming in. However, if there are replies, the PNR will show and will bubble to the top. Once you predict the PNR, it will go away from the main...
