Looking at year 2018 year as such KL seems to have got some benefits in terms of upgraded coaches for few trains but not many new trains as a whole: LHB for KCVL-SBC, TVC-MAS mail, Utkrisht coaches for TVC-NZM, MAQ-KCVL Antyodaya, one rake of Island with LHB, LHB for Kerala express & Band-KCVL Humsafar exp new train.
Not that bad but still a long way to go !!!

The other Notable upgradations are Venad getting a brand new Model Rake, 22653 and 22655 getting CBC rakes (still there till now), 22633 getting CBC coaches and then removing CBC rakes and now getting Utkrisht.
ERS-BSP and BSP-TEN LHBfication.

LHBfication of these 3 highly patronised trains for kerala has been the most noticeable.....and also the long pending demand of a new train to bangalore from kerala in the form of Kochuveli - Banasawadi Humsafar
