1) Howrah Amritsar Express
This train was born in the 1960s as 15/16 Howrah Varanasi Express.
Later in the 70s it was extended to Lucknow and dual numbered as 15UP/16 DN between HWH and MGS and 49UP/50DN between MGS and LKO. Later on the number was changed to 49UP/50DN for the entire run of the train. In the 80s it was further extended to Amritsar.

Kolkata-Delhi Lal Quila Express
This train belonged to the British Raj and it is therefore difficult to pinpoint its year of birth. Suffice to say that it once originated from Howrah as 11UP/12DN, then got shifted to Sealdah and finally to Kolkata.
3) Kolkata-Jammu Tawi Express
This train belonged to the British Raj and it is therefore difficult to pinpoint its year of birth. It plied between Sealdah and Pathankot right from the time I used to wear half pants, or maybe not even that, and was dual numbered as 17UP/18 DN between HWH and MGS and 51UP/52DN between MGS and PTK. Later on the number was changed to 51UP/52DN for the entire run of the train. Following the inauguration of the new railway line Pathankot and Jammu Tawi in 1971, this was the first IR train to enter the state of Jammu & Kashmir.
SORRY, I have not been able to whet your voracious appetite for information FULLY.
