Its a welcome move for unplanned travelers. But I beg to differ in this. Having used Brindavan more in the past few months, I liked the fully reserved layout.

My only concern is how the TTEs are going to restrict the unreserved passengers from entering reserved compartments. I hope they do their job strictly.

Its a common scenario in almost all Intercity trains. I too travelled in Reserved coach with UnReserved Ticket on MYS - MAS SF EXP.

I understand that. In that case Railways should plan to have one fully unreserved train following a fully reserved train (a clone one). In this case, lalbagh can be fully reserved one while 12609 can be completely unreserved.
