The village Lakkundi is located around 12 kilometers East of Gadag. It's a historical place with lots of temples and stepwells from the Western Chalukyan period. Some of these structures are in ruins now, but around 12 of them are taken care of by the ASI (Archaeological Survey of India), which has an office in this town. Most of the temples are dedicated to Lord Shiva, but there are a few Jain temples as well. And hey, there's also a super cool step well in town that the ASI looks after. You can easily catch a town bus or an express bus from Gadag to reach here.
