Need immediate justice for this train 😔😔😔Pathetic maintenance of deputy king of SWR with its RSA 12657/58 Bangalore Mail. It was maintained properly in ICF era but after getting LHB the maintenance was become below average. SWR gave only spare, 2 nd class quality LHB stock (provided old rakes of earlier LHB fied trains) and SWR not able to provide uniform rake (the 7th pic was of SCR rake but probably hidden by someone's head) One of AC coaches having Graffiti (see 4th pic)which will even add more shame on legacy and dignity on both trains. Why nowadays SWR doing like SER(as when Coromandel express given LHB, many old spare coaches were used rather than new stock). Why SR not doing anything for this rake of Bangalore mail (secondary maintenance) and not doing that properly but instead parking at Chennai Beach station for the sake of occupancy of BBQ yard?...
Both SWR, SR and NR did injustice for these both legendary trains . Look at maintenance of Tamilnadu/Grand Trunk/Telangana express trains. They are maintained like Rajdhani and given higher priority. Never thought of degradation of train quality when upgradation of any train. RAILWAYS PLEASE SEPARATE RSA AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND RETAIN LEGACY OF SOUTH BOUND TRAIN 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Yes. Maintenance has considerably gone done. Nowadays even the BBQ CDO is fairing well. I also observed that KK/Mail got old LHB stock. Atleast if maintained, they will look good. But why would SR take up secondary maintenance of Mail which is technically not at all needed. Incoming KK undergoes PM at SBC and goes as 8 Mail. After a 360 km run that too after undergoing PM just 5 hrs before, SM is not at all required that too for LHB rakes. Its just a waste of pitline for SR. Even platform attention is too much I would say after such a short run. Cleaning the coaches would suffice.
SM doesnt include cleaning coaches from outside AFAIK. They check the bogies of the coach and other parts. Its the duty of the respective owning CDO to maintain the coach exteriors and get it POHed as per schedule.

Just a piece of info in addition to the previous comment. LHB rakes require SM only after some 2000 km run or more.

SR cannot and Should not do the secondary maintenance as per railway board regulations. The rake receives maintenance before starting as mail to Chennai. So SR can provide only OEA ( Other End Attention) to Bangalore Mail. It means SR should clean the coaches (activities like sweeping, cleaning restrooms and watering the coaches). For these activities, its not necessary to take the rake into the yard, it can be done in PF or in stable lines like in Chennai Beach or Korkkupet or Tondiarpet. The rake criteria for LHB to get secondary maintenance is if the rake's Route kilometers exceeds 4000 kms.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
