Kaniuru railway station is the nearest railway station to state highway in DK district and is surrounded by more than 10 villages located at the center of these villages in one of the important place Kaniyooru which is situated in Manjeshwar-Puttur-Subrahmanya State Highway. This railway station lacks basic amenities and passengers are facing problems here. So, this railway station should be developed properly under ADARSH Railway station scheme and all facilities should be provided here including stoppages for more express trains skipping this railway station.
