I do not know why it is operational. Halt stations are relatively common but atleast they are more built than this and at least, some distance.
There are workers near the station since there is a goods siding track but I would assume majority of them would be locals only, so no benefit to them, either. Considering the lack of infrastructure, I think IR should just close this joke of a station.
