How short is human life ! How fragile our constitution! One moment we are here, fighting tooth and nail for our existence and the next moment, GONE !
Reduced to a photograph, a mere statistic, our existence etched as painful reminders in the heart into the heart of our loved ones...
I always have had a soft corner for trains like Poorva, Coro, East Coast etc. I have had so many journeys and so many memories on the numerous trips that I have taken on this trains. I was highly disturbed by the derailment of 12841. There was a lingering thought that bothered me, a chilling perspiration constantly running down my spine, a realization that it could have well been me! The mere thought of what would have happened to my parents sent shudders through every fibre of my body.
So many happy and otherwise smiling faces lost forever in the abyss of eternal silence. So many heartbroken parents, devastated wives and husbands, grieving brothers and sisters, children who prematurely lost the very roof that was providing for them, lost forever.
So many well-abled people now lying anonymously in hospitals, some of them still stuck, their bodies now rotting and smelling under the extreme summer, while relief workers who are still struggling to get to them. The unfortunate LP/ALP duo who saw their lives flashing before them in an instant before somehow managing to cheat death miraculously.
Let us all pray for the departed souls and wish a speedy recovery for those who ended up getting injured. Accidents and mishaps like this should be set in stone, emaciating fleshes and bloody bodies being a permanent reminder into our minds, that we should strive to do everything that this doesn't happen again and so many innocent people don't end up losing their lives. THIS IS HUMAN LIFE. ONE MOMENT WE ARE IN, THE NEXT MOMENT GONE FOREVER!
