This is a wishful thinking on the part of the paper media. Railways will never get rid of RAC and WL systems in the ticket booking, as they earn huge chunks of money from selling wait-listed tickets particularly from eastern states with huge travelling populations like in Bihar, UP etc.
The only way which I think this would be possible would to substantially hike the fare of the heavily subsidized sleeper and GS classes...

WL & RAC case saw overcrowding in 12841 & 12864 & we saw the results IN front of us. 324 dead.(275 identified) at BNBR near BLS. Soro halt of 12864 was the reason 12864 was running at 110 kph, gaining speed when Collison with 12841 derailed coaches happened.

Last year Railpost ne ek article likha tha april fool ke mauke par ki diesel hauled trains me 15%+ fare lagega. 3-4 din ke ander wo har newspaper ke digital or paper edition me chhap gya. Last me Ministry ko statment nikalna pada ki aisa kuch bhi nahi hai. ye sab fake hai
