Some Accounts (belonging to a particular brigade) have a dropped a proposal to extend 14211 Agra Cantt - New Delhi Intercity Express, permanently to Gwalior. I writing a separate post as I believe they might have blocked me, because it's available in public version, but not available when I'm logged in.
Subject Line - Extension Champions support their claims by giving...
more... justification of Regular extension of Intercity Express to Gwalior which is generally seen during Gurupurima and Krishna Janamashtmi.
They also say let's detach it's RSA from Gomti Express and let NCR Jhansi Division give them a seperate rake to Gwalior for it's operations.
I have some points against this proposals, and are open for discussion.
1. It's okay to extend Agra Intercity Express upto Gwalior, but Will gwalior extend it's Bundelkhand Express, Barauni Mail or Chambal Express to Agra/Mathura to vacant it's stabling lines and accommodate Intercity Express?
Barauni Mail occupies for around 17 hours, Bundelkhand Express for around 11 hours and Chambal Express for around 10 hours.
2. If Jhansi Division provides a new rake for Intercity Express where and how would they operate it, already choking stabling lines, platforms.
3. Rather Extending Agra Intercity Express I would propose Jhansi-Agra Intercity cum Passenger to Extend upto Nizamuddin, (as earlier their was a daily passenger used to run between delhi and jhansi, later broken down into Delhi-Agra, Agra-Jhansi). This is also cater needs of Gwalior, also daily pax which board trains between Agra-Delhi.
4. After Gita Jayanti Extension, now this is the only express connectivity left for daily pax to reach delhi on daily basis, why are people just to safeguard their so called demanda are busy asking for extensions no matter it might hurt the ease of other passengers?
5. Will Gwalior really prefer a train arriving Gwalior Late night and departing early morning with Slack timings?
please wait...Translate to EnglishSome peeps (from a certain squad) be suggesting to extend the 14211 Agra Cantt - New Delhi Intercity Express to Gwalior on the reg, man. I'm writing a separate post 'cause I think they might have blocked me, 'cause it's visible to the public, but not when I'm logged in.
Subject Line - These Extension Champions be tryna justify extending the Intercity Express to Gwalior by sayin' it's a regular thing on Gurupurima and Krishna Janamashtmi. They also suggest detachin' it from the Gomti Express and lettin' NCR Jhansi Division hook 'em up with a separate rake for Gwalior operations.
I got some points against this proposal and I'm down to discuss.
1. It's cool to extend Agra Intercity Express to Gwalior, but will Gwalior extend their Bundelkhand Express, Barauni Mail or Chambal Express to Agra/Mathura to free up space for the Intercity Express?
Barauni Mail occupies the lines for around 17 hours, Bundelkhand Express for around 11 hours, and Chambal Express for around 10 hours.
2. If Jhansi Division provides a new rake for the Intercity Express, where and how are they gonna operate it? The stabling lines and platforms are already hella crowded.
3. Instead of extending Agra Intercity Express, I suggest extendin' the Jhansi-Agra Intercity cum Passenger to Nizamuddin. (There used to be a daily passenger train between Delhi and Jhansi, which later got split into Delhi-Agra and Agra-Jhansi). This way, we can cater to the needs of Gwalior and the daily passengers travelin' between Agra-Delhi.
4. After the Gita Jayanti Extension, this is the only express train left for the peeps who travel to Delhi daily. Why are people so focused on extendin' it just to satisfy their demand, even if it causes inconvenience to other passengers?
5. Will Gwalior really prefer a train that arrives late at night and departs early in the morning with slack timings?
