Nothingispermanentvalid~ 363 blog postsRailways should run a new train Between Bikaner and Bandra Terminus via Abu Road with Rake of Bikaner Bandra Terminus special (04711) with this time table and depart From Bikaner on Wednesday and FROM BANDRA TERMINUS ON THURSDAY. Bikaner 19:00 Jodhpur 23:00-23:15 Abu Road 03:15-03:25 Ahmedabad 07:00-07:10 BANDRA TERMINUS 14:50. BANDRA TERMINUS 16:00 AHMEDABAD 23:50-00:05 JODHPUR 08:20-08:30 BIKANER 13:30 PM.
The timing and days are not good. Train reaching BDTS in afternoon means the day is wasted. Secondly departure from BDTS at 4 is very close to other trains on this route upto Ju/BKI. On Thursday, there is already BDTS-Ju Hamsafar in the evening. So my suggestion is that it should share slot with Ju-Bdts Hamsafar but run on Thursday from BKI and on Friday from BDTS. Anyways the trains departing on Friday from BDTS are always full and need more capacity.
But it can't depart from Bikaner on Thursday because it depart for Bandra Terminus again on Saturday from Bikaner and it will need time to do primary or secondary maintenence of this train and on Monday and Tuesday afternoon slot is not available due to Bkn bdts weekly and Bkn Dadar bi weekly express and on Wednesday Ju Valsad express has taken slot of evening so only evening slot is available from Bikaner on Wednesday.
If we want to focus on the convenience of passengers and increase the popularity, then the operational restrictions can be managed. Anyways the route is doubled between Ju- BDTS and electrified, so even if Valsad train has taken a slot, it doesn't mean another train can't run with a gap of 15-30 minutes. Pls check the slot of Ju-BDTS Hamsafar train and then back calculate the Bikaner time. it should be very similar ( + 1.5 hr) to the earlier slot of Ranakpur exp when it used to reach Ju at around 3 pm.

On Thursday from Bandra ,BANDRA TERMINUS 16:00 AHMEDABAD 23:50-00:05 JODHPUR 08:20-08:30 BIKANER 13:30 PM.
