Near R G kar hospital a new metro station is needed between Belgachia & Shyambazar. Kolkata station is very near. So passengers at Kolkata Terminal can use R G Kar Mtero station to arrive anywhere in South Kolkata.

Mr Roy, Good suggestion. But technically it is absolutely not feasible due to earth condition and geotechnical reason. The stretch between Shyambazar Belgachiya was very challenging to design and construct. However nothing is impossible. The cost of building one station will be not economical with the service produced.

can you tell me details about problem ? I know that a canal is here. That is why the soil is very soft ???? If it is possible I think Kolkata Terminal can get great revolution in transport. It will be fantastic Terminal even better than Sealdah or Howrah.

Hi Mr Roy, Answer to your question is partly in your statement. Yes one of the factor is ground is clay and has poor bonding characteristics, 2 open cut method for making tunnel there is challenging. HDD drilling will interfere with the regular services of metro. There is not provision in existing design to make any modification at this stage. I think these many reason will satisfy you to rest this topic for now.

Mr Roy it is very good suggestion for Railway. But it is very tough to close Metro Rail even a day. Both side platform building may close Metro Rail 7 days. Passengers will agitate as Metro is the heart of Kolkatan.

These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
