Travelled in this train in both directions from SBC-SA in 2S class, D1-D4 coaches have the pushback type seating and it felt very cramped in terms of width for me though the leg room was pretty good (me being 6.2 Ft tall guy), the D5 coach has the normal sitting coach facing each other which was much more comfortable and spacious, it had 2 charging points per bay in both the types of coaches, washrooms and toilets are decent condition OBHS were present on board and coach cleanliness was good, there were WL passengers near the doors but they didn't disturb the other passengers, there was on board catering present would strongly recommend not to purchase any kind of hot/cooked items like samosa, aloo bonda, as the vendors were not maintaining any hygiene while handling the food, tea/coffee was basically sugar water, they also do sell some packed snacks like...

please wait...Translate to EnglishI've been on this train back and forth from SBC-SA in 2S class. The seating in D1-D4 is pushback type and it felt really cramped in terms of width for me (I'm a 6.2 ft tall guy), but the legroom was pretty good. The D5 coach has normal sitting arrangement facing each other, which was much more comfortable and spacious. Both types of coaches have 2 charging points per bay. The washrooms and toilets were in decent condition and there were OBHS (On-Board Housekeeping Services) present. The coach cleanliness was good. There were WL (Waiting List) passengers near the doors, but they didn't bother the other passengers. There was on-board catering available, but I strongly recommend not buying any hot/cooked items like samosa or aloo bonda because the vendors weren't hygienic while handling the food. The tea/coffee was basically sugar water. They also sell packed snacks like chips and biscuits, which you can buy from them. The train was punctual and actually ran ahead of schedule when I traveled. It reached the stations on time and maintained a speed of 110kmph constantly (unlike the SBC-DPJ-SA route with a speed of 80kmph). Overall, it's a good option for 2S travel and the pricing is reasonable. It's around ₹15 more than the Ernakulam intercity fare, which is OK because it takes the longer Kuppam, Bangarapete route.
