Jhandu Balm 123 blog postsI think that some Duronto Express should be reconsidered and converted into an AC express which allows reservations on intermediate stations. For eg, the Mumbai Indore Duronto Express : This train goes empty most of the time, atleast in non peak seasons as there aren't as many people who will travel in AC on this route (all the way from Mumbai to Indore). Hence there should be some consideration in some trains.
A lot of my relatives and friends travel between Mumbai and Ratlam and this train has very good timings for travel on this route reaching Ratlam at 7:40 am in the morning. Right now, they have to pay the full fare upto Indore to travel upto Ratlam...

I get ur point.. but a little bit of planning and reconsideration could lead to increased revenues and convenience for public... For people travelling to n from Ujjain, its not so tough as the fare difference could be very low... but this could help people travelling to/from ratlam greatly as Ratlam is a major Junction and there aren't any trains for mumbai or delhi or other major destinations apart from a couple or more of short haul express n passenger trains originating from Ratlam.... Its next to impossible or very hard to get reservation on Mumbai-Ratlam or Delhi Ratlam and other sectors even 1 month prior during most part of the year...
