I think it has very few coaches so would create difficulty for people from Coastal Karnataka.
But prior to covid it was running as Karwar Vasco passenger and people have demanded to extend it back to Vasco as no connectivity exists to coastal Karnataka from Vasco.
So they should run it like before covid lockdowns. SBC to KAWR as Panchaganga express and KAWR to VSG as passenger.

Agreed. It should go to VSG with a different number. Direct extension to Madgaon/VSG is possible only if number of coaches are added. In the current scenario, looks unlikely

Goa is already served with a daily connection to Bengaluru by 17310/09 it should be extended to SBC with some speed up.
I clearly remember from my childhood people from VSG were demanding extension of the Mangalore Madgaon train then running as passenger train to Vasco but it was always rejected. But later of due to Late Shri Suresh Angadi ji finally Vasco residents atleast got a train to Karwar which is now taken away again.

This train is meant for Coastal Karnataka and not for Goa. Goa already has a Dedicated Daily train
