The station is all decked up to welcome first "Vande Metro" service of India which will be inaugrated today i.e. 16th Sept between Bhuj ЁЯФБ Ahmedabad #VandeMetro

I understand LKO-CNB but Farrukabad? I thought that section is still single line. Either case, not much trains [either long distance or passengers] ply there.

I think this section will be able to afford VM, also if they start VM from a NER station in Lucknow/Prayagraj, a connection with Izzatnagar Division will be established too.

I am a little disappointed with the unnecessary additions like the handrail-like partition in the middle of the entrance doors. This creates hindrances for heavy crowds entering and exiting the coaches. For passengers to hold on to something while boarding and alighting, there are handrails at the edges, which are just perfect.
Another two routes fit for VM:
Bhubaneswar - Baleswar
Bhubaneswar - Brahmapur
Bhubaneswar - Baleswar
