Fare unfair! A newly inducted train variant introduced on Monday- the Air-Conditioned Vande Metro train (named Namo Bharat Rapid Rail) - is better, bigger and faster than Mumbai's AC local train fare but is actually cheaper than Mumbai AC local. It is a story of paying more for an inferior quality train!

The concept of namo bharat rapid rail is to replace demu and memu which are running for around 250 to 500 km, these are not to replace local trains, as local trains do not need toilets, charging ports etc. These will be used mainly on long routes
