They say it'll take 2-3 years. That's an exceptionally optimistic estimate. First they will need to extend to Rewari and then to Alwar; which is a huge distance [cumulative 100km+]. Also, beyond GGN , there are still agricultural fields upto Rewari [atleast on the railway tracks side]. Would a traditional metro type system even get traction as of now?
Second, if they are thinking of running something on the lines of Delhi-Meerut Corridor, even that has an average speed much lower. I would be positively suprised if the mps was 160 kph...
