the overwhelming demand. The trains, which started in September 2023, offer a comfortable travel experience with 530 seats in Chair Cars and Executive Chair Cars. They operate with a well-timed schedule, completing the 650 km journey between Tirunelveli and Chennai in 7.5 hours with stops at several stations. Additionally, a special Vande Bharat Express running between Chennai Egmore and Nagercoil since September 2024, which already operates with 16-car rakes, also witnessed significant patronage. The expansion of the Tirunelveli – Chennai Vande Bharat is expected to further increase competition with flight services on the Chennai – Madurai/Thoothukudi routes.

Ye train bahut aache time pe chalte hain, aur 650 km ka journey Tirunelveli se Chennai 7.5 hours mein pura kar lete hain, aur raste mein kuchh stations pe rukte hain. Iske saath hi, Chennai Egmore se Nagercoil tak ek special Vande Bharat Express bhi September 2024 se chal raha hai, jiska already 16-car rake hai, aur usme bhi bahut passengers travel kar rahe hain. Tirunelveli – Chennai Vande Bharat ka expansion se Chennai – Madurai/Thoothukudi route pe flight services ki competition badhne ki ummeed hai.
