pl tell the correct procedure for booking tickets in irctc.
tickets can be booked in website - irctc.co.in 90 days before date of journey.
You have to become a login id member of irctc for booking tickets. pl register yourself with full details as asked for, provide a log in id, password and register yourself. with the login id and password, open the site and fill up the destination stations, you would be given option of booking tickets - iticket/eticket. since you are abroad, pl choose eticket. different trains on...

that route will be displayed. pl choose ur train according to your convenience, and after choosing your train, date, you will be required to enter the names of passengers, age, gender etc. Passengers (men/women of 60+ age can avail Sr Citizen concession) children below 5 are allowed free. between 5-12 are charged half tickets. After filling up the names, you will be directed to the Credit Card/internet banking gateway, where necessary procedures have to be undertaken and after successful transaction, you would be redirected to irctc for a view of the ticket details. pl take a printout of the ticket. while travelling - pl have a valid ID proof (passport for other countries citizens) . other suggestions welcome.
