HELP!! about TATKAL tkts
i need a tatkal ticket for a train which departs from my boarding station at 4:00 am on SUNDAY morning.
So should i get my ticket on saturday morning 10:00 OR
on friday morning 10:00?

the station code is MKI as followed by IR and IRI.
the departure time is 01.58 hrs and not 04.00 hours
the departure day is sunday,
but seeing the booking status of Regret by IR, the booking has opened on 1.8.2013.

well, there is a slight twist. if the intermediate station has a separate quota for tatkal then even the booking will start a day later. that is not one day before departure from origin but may be a day or two later. until the booking opens, the status will will show as regret/ckwl1.
So, should i go and try for a tatkal ticket tomorrow or do i need to start planning for other trains?

In case of 3A and if you can travel up to MFP (atleast ) then take Avadh assam from MFP on open SL ticket up to SPJ and from SPJ:
25610 GHY JIVACHH LIN 4- 8-2013 GNWL23/WL6 3A
and for 8- 8-2013 GNWL22/WL18 GNWL4/WL2 both class status is good to book.
