This is about boarding Malwa Express at Chakka Bank for journeying onwards to New Delhi. As our group would be coming from Kangra, nearest boarding point for going to New Delhi is Chakka Bank or Pathankot. Time table given in "India Rail Info" shows 5 minutes stop at chakka Bank. But when I tried to reserve tickets online through IRCTC site from Chakka Bank to New Delhi, it shows "No train Found". On further telephonic inquiry, I was informed (after a long time of discussions) that boarding is not allowed at Pathankot / Chakka Bank even though we reserve from Jammu Tawi to New Delhi. I am unable to understand this. Can someone care to explain?

I have tried it again. chkb to ndls gets me no trains in this route message. Tried also to write Pathankot Cantt or pktc, it just says no station exists.

I tried to chat with you. By that time, you seemed to have left the forum or logged out. I don't know how you could get the availability and from where. My IRCTC site plan my travel dialogue box does not seem to recognize it. I am trying all day. Please inform me at your convenience.

Sir, you see the name of station Chakki Bank has been recently changed to Pathankot Cantt. This change has not been made in IRCTC properly. So currently it is neither showing Chakki Bank nor Pathankot in IRCTC. Hopefully, this error will be rectified soon and you will be able to book the ticket.
