Malgudi Days…
Malgudi is a fictitious town in India created by writer R.K. Narayan in his novels and short stories. It forms the setting for most of Narayan's works.
“Malgudi Days” is a collection of short stories written by R. K. Narayan and published in 1943. All the stories of this book turn around the lives of people lived in the small town Malgudi. The stories happen in Malgudi, an imaginary town located somewhere on the banks of Sarayu (a river in South India). It is common to call Malgudi an imaginary town

but one will not feel it is imaginary while reading the book. One can trace it to any village in India. The stories carry the scent and sounds of these villages and one instantly blend into the situations in the stories. One will feel as though he or she is the character in the story and that is the secret behind the success of this immensely popular book.
Each story is so full of humanity and the endings of each story are also special. The author will never reveal what happened at the end and will leave it to one’s imagination. It will make one mad thinking what would have happened.
Malgudi has a small railway station which is a landmark and arena of many stories. The above shot shows a small railway station that resembles the Malgudi railway station. This shot is my tribute to R.K.Narayan who made the stories of Indian villagers immortal through his inimitable style of writing.
(The above shot is dedicated to someone who is my inspiration to search story)

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
