Most important Rail station cum Terminal in Kolkata is Sealdah. It situates in middle Kolkata. Sealdah is the second largest Rail station after Howrah. 20 platforms exist in Sealdah. All the trains are so crowded as maximum hospitals ,College & Markets are very near to it. Sealdah is the busiest Rail station in India. 17 million passengers with valid ticket use it although 70 % passengers travel without ticket due to lack of TTE. Crowd of Local train in Sealdah division is like Western division of Mumbai suburban.Anybody can compare the crowd of Sealdah - Bongaon section with Mumbai Churchgate - Virar section & compare Mumbai CST - Kasara section with Sealdah - Ranaghat section.

Howrah is the largest Rail station in India. 22 active platforms exist in Howrah. Platform no 16 is closed. The trains Howrah bound are medium crowded as it is not in Kolkata. Although it is well connected with Kolkata by bus or cab. No direct train from Howrah to Kolkata. If anybody wants to travel comfortably with less crowd they can travel in Howrah division. 9 million passengers use it. 95 % passengers travel with valid ticket as ticket checking done frequently.
Kolkata Terminal is the newest terminal in north Kolkata. It is cleanest terminal in West Bengal. Only 5 platforms exist. More 2 platforms has been sanctioned.
Salimar is the most bad connected with Kolkata terminal. It is southern side of Howrah. only 2 platforms.
Satragachi is the average good connected terminal. Vidyasagar setu connectes with Kolkata. Only 5 platforms

These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
