Uchipuli railway gate develops snag; traffic hit on Madurai-Rameswaram national highway

On Monday, November 4th, 2024, a technical snag at the Uchipuli railway level crossing gate in Ramanathapuram district caused a seven-hour delay in traffic flow. After the train crossed, the gate keeper was unable to open the gate due to a cable fault. Technicians were called to the site, and the issue was finally resolved by 11:30 a.m. During the closure, traffic, including school buses and tourist vehicles, was diverted through nearby Irumeni village.

kiya gaya tha. Train ke jaane ke baad, gate keeper gate nahin khol paya kyunki cable mein fault tha. Technicians ko wahan bheja gaya, aur problem finally 11:30 baje fix ho gaya. Gate band rehne ke dauran, traffic, including school buses aur tourist vehicles, nearby Irumeni village se diverted kiya gaya.
