Is hisab se to sabse pahle IR ko 1st ac class ko pure IR se bahar kar dena chahiye. Itne loss making class ki kya hi jarurat hai.
Lekin, yeh hoga nahi kyonki officer class / MP / MLA kis class mein travel karenge.
Agar 1st ac class nikal de to SL class mein fare increase kar ke to IR chala hi sakta hai.

Saloon kabhi kabhi use hota hai, as a special, uski calculation nahi hoti hai woh to office use mein hai.
Jabki 1st AC to permanent fix hai trains mein aur usse itna loss hai. 1st AC ko 3rd AC se replace kar dena chahiya. Kyonki yahi class profitable hai.

IR kewal loss dikha raha hai 1st AC se lekin usko profitmaking banane ka koi roadmap nahi hai. 1st AC ke fare mein flight ticket mil jaati hai, if you plan in advance, isliye jyada fare bhi nahi badha sakte.
IR ko free passes dena hi band kar dene chahiya nahi to inke passes ka paisa finance ministry ko IR ko reimburse karna chahiye.

IR ko general class se jyada profit hai 2S se nahi. 2S mein 15 - 20 rupees hi to jyada lagta hai, lekin passengers fix ho jaayenge. General class mein 108 seats par 300-400 log safar aur suffer karte hain.
IR should increase price substantially, to gain profit. But snatching sleeper class and intentionally move to passengers to buy AC class tickets is not a good move. By this atmosphere of AC class is no more like what it was before and it's look like sleeper class nowdays. By happening this elite class moved to air travel and IR in a position what to do for profit.

I have suggested to remove 1AC due to IR disclosure that this class is highest loss making class.
Nowadays growing number of airport and better highways / roads made high class people to switch already from IR to alternate options.

I am in not support of rake standardization, rake should be based on demand of that particular route. But due to IR forcibly implementing standardization they should re-consider about SL & GEN class increase, so AC class passengers and also somewhat SL class passenger travel comfortably.

Yes, that won't happen but government will always tells passengers about how much subsidy they are paying to passengers to travel in current fare. They are trying us to feel of beggar and giving subsidy like alms to beggars.
There internal report showed about 1AC is highest revenue loss making class, so if are actually want to generate profit then do better by remove this class.

Every class have their pros & cons, after paying 1AC class hefty fare 10 out of 9 people prefer air travel in long journeys which is time saving compare to railways. Everybody is not a railfan and enthusiast.
In short journeys 500-600 km. bracket make passengers travel by road in their own vehicle due to expanding highway connectivity, improving road conditions.

these circumstances IR not able to increase fare of 1AC class, and providing free passes make this situation even worse. I am not against this class but the shortcoming of revenue loss make this class IR to think about it and that's why in VB sleeper IR only put 1 coach of 1AC class.
In your instance of raksha bandhan festival shows how IR is holding seats for so called VVIPs and actual passengers are in stress for booking seat or choose any other travel option.

Maintenance - My Side lower berth was narrow, I guess, there was a sliding cover thingy which flattened the gaps and it was removed, leaving a huge gap between berth and panel below Window.

than that, everything was good. Hand wash liquid was actually of good quality not like running pink water found everywhere else. Washroom maintenance was good enough and it was clean enough to be used in morning.
Punctuality- Thanks to good slack and less halts it runs exactly on time. Crawled all the way from Charbagh to Alamnagar, LITERALLY CRAWLED.
After Alamnagar, it gained MPS. Saw bunching of trains after trains literally 6 trains till Alamnagar Outer waiting to enter Charbagh. Reached Ghaziabad and Pragati Maidan well before time but got regulated at New Delhi Outer to arrive 10 minutes late.
Good Food Items available at Platform # 1 of LKO.
Saw Soup for 10 Rupees per cup sold after years, had 3 cups ❤️
The Sendha Biryani Thing is literally good, after years had excellent tasting food from Railway Station. Everyone should definitely try.
Train was FULL. Quite literally one of the most Patronised train of the route after Lucknow Mail ofcourse.
No movement at Moradabad.
Good deboarding at Ghaziabad.

It is a sad reality is in IR; when NG & MG routes converted to BG IR present it as they will flood it with trains these route after gauge conversion. But in reality these routes after BG conversion suffers for those trains which are in MG era they have.
What is have IR logic, divisional / zonal constraints, problems but connectivity with new routes and lines are not tried as they have to be.
