Does a Duronto NECESSARILY stop at all technical stoppages, or there have been occasions when they skip them too?

I don't think one can achieve any thing at Tech Halt except missing train just like a passenger missed MAS-NZM Duronto for Banana at Gudur.Tech halts are used for rail purpose only.

No, my query is, I need to deboard the train at a technical halt. But what if does not stop there for some reason? Is there a possibility of that?

If a Technical Stop has been decided by railways for a Duronto it simply can't skip the said station as it is a much warranted "Technical" stop for the train.

The train necessarily stops at technical stop. No question of skipping that. If it skips, it may stop with a jerk, cause it can happen that the driver of the train is doing extra hrs duty (else he would have got relieved at the technical stop) and that too with an empty stomach (which he would have got at the technical stop).

If it is partially confirmed ticket, it does not make difference whether it is counter or eticket. Cancellation procedures do differ for these two types, but treatment of WL passengers is same. They can board only if TTE agrees, other passengers cooperate or there are seats available after the journey starts.
Eticket gets auto cancelled only if it is fully waitlisted.

THis train should be extended to Pune instead of terminating at Kolhapur. That way the miraj pune sector give direct connectivity daily to banglore

already there are 3 daily and 6 weekly trains for PUNE to SBC.This train is useful for kop-mrj-sangle-bgm passengers to get easy accomedation.Actually this train should be extended still towards south like madurai or nagerrcoil or cape or rameshwaram

the suggestion to extend to pune was to enable passengers upto satara and may be between satara and pune to some extent. Pune already has more competitive connections to banglore than what chennama would provide in an event it were extended. Its also a good idea to extend the train beyond banglore as well. So people of satara and surroundings will also benefit. I have read older blogs where it has often been pointed out that trains out of kolhapur fill up mainly at Miraj. So there is only limited potential from there by the looks of it. I hope IR looks into the suggestion

To address this issue, effective tomorrow, ALL...

-@all members: As of recently, there has been a trend whereby minor name updates of Trains/Stations - whether such and such regional name should be there or not, whether the train should be called "Abc Express" or "Abc Superfast Express", etc. are threatening to take over the majority of Timeline entries. Also,...
