Suggestions for efficiency improvement of IR Operation
1. 22643 Ernakulam -Patna Express can be extended up to Varanasi OR MGS (advantages: 1. Direct service from VSKP to Varanasi will be available 2. No extra rake required. 3. Load of PNBE will be decreased and night maintenance (secondary) trains are less in BSB.
2. Capital express may be extended up to Gaya or BSB ( Advantages : Direct train will be available to Guwahati from BSB or Gaya ) Primary maintenance may be given to Guwahati. Ease the pressure on Patna jn/RJPB jn.
3. 13429/14001
...
Malda town to New Delhi /anand vihar express should run via Malda Town -Kiul-Gaya-MGS further same route ( Advantages : New train will be available for Gaya Kiul Section and this will ease the pressure of Kiul-mgs section
4. 12401 Magadh Express and 12401 rake sharing should be started.
12401 arrival time in Islampur should be 2.oo pm and train should depart next day at 08.50 , should reach PNBE 10.30 departure 10,50 , mgs arrival 2,50 NDLS arrival early in the morning 5.10 ( like shramjeevi). Shramjeevi express should reach Rajgir at 10.00 am and same day at 15.30 hrs depart from Rajgir, and from Patna -18,10 ,will reach NDLS at 11.45
This will eliminate the chances of regular delay of 12401 Magadh exp. Only difference is
Magadh will depart from Islampur at 8.50 instead of 15.45 and Shramjeevi will depart 15.30 rajgir in place of 8.10 am
Advantages : no additional rake required and train punctuality can be maintained , only difference is primary maintenance will be done at NDLS FOR BOTH TRAIN.

Opinion 2 & Opinion 3 : -
I agree with you on these 2 opinions.
.
Opinion 1:
I got shocked with your statement "trains are less in BSB."
Patna-

Ernakulam SF Biweekly Express (via kiul) runs jam packed although it has 14 SLeeper class Coaches.
My God, BSB is getting new trains on an average each month.
- UBL-BSB Express
- BRC-BSB Mahamana Express
- INDB- GHY Weekly Express. Etc. can't count all on fingers.
Still they couldn't give Visakhapatnam- Gaya- BSB direct train connection.
.
Opinion 4:
12402/01 Magadh Express & 22405 BGP Garib Rath AC Express should have limited stoppages like Delhi- CNB- ALD- MGS- BXR - Ara- PNBE in order to run Punctually.

Indian Railways is notorious for delay in train services. According to a survey by travel search application Ixigo, the Manduadih-Rameswaram Weekly Express tops the list of latecomer trains, with the highest average delay time of 11.5 hours.
Manduadih is in Uttar Pradesh and the train travels a little more than 2,000 km to Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu. The survey was conducted among the 20-odd million customers of Ixigo. The other worst-performing trains include Himgiri SuperFast (SF) Express from Howrah to Jammu Tawi, with 9.3 hours average delay time, and the Jan Nayak Express between Amritsar in Punjab and Darbhanga in Bihar, with a delay time of 8.9 hours.
The

survey also looked at the favourite railway stations for passengers. Vadodara topped the list, followed by Nagpur and Howrah stations. Among the lowest rated stations were New Delhi, Pune and Kanpur.
In terms of favourite trains, the top three were the Bikaner-Delhi SF Express, Mumbai-Jaisalmer SF Express and the New Delhi Duronto Express. The worst-rated trains were the Patna-Kota Express, Jharkhand Express and Seemanchal Express.
Aloke Bajpai, co-founder and chief executive of Ixigo, said: “This survey takes into account the 200,000 user ratings and reviews on our app. We noted that cleanliness is very important for travellers at railway stations, which is why Tatanagar Junction ranked at the top.”
And, “Rajkot Junction received very positive reviews owing to its high standard of safety, which is every traveller’s paramount concern. Food at railway stations is something most Indian travellers appreciate and Davangere in Karnataka stood out as the top station, serving good food. Travellers rated the Bikaner-Delhi SF Express as the cleanest train and the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Duronto Express as the train serving the best food.”
Ixigo has become one of India’s largest train information apps, with five million monthly active users; it apparently helps 800,000 train travellers every day, from a little more than 200 places, with features such as PNR (passenger name record) prediction for waiting list tickets, train PNR status, running status, platform number, coach position and the like.

Wrong information : data collected and shows by Ixigo is not genuine , Manduadih Rameshwaram exp normally run before time last 3 month. Himgiri also run only 1 hr /2 hrs late now a days. Followings are most wanted late running trains :
1. 12402 Magadh Exp 2. 12873/74 Jharkhand Exp 3. Mahananda Sikkim Exp 4. Swatantrata Senani Exp have been running late since long. Magadh AND Jharkhand running late since 2007.

Indian Railways is notorious for its trains running behind schedule. However, which train in particular causes the most hardship for passengers? This is not a real research and it is based on current data only. Data study from 2005 to 2017 shows 1. 12401/12402 Magadh Express 2. 12873/74 Jharkhand Exp 3 . 13007-08 Toofan Exp are worst train to use. In new list 1. Swatantrata Senani added , it has been running late since 2013 not before that. Above mentioned train are running late on daily basis. 12331/31 Himgiri exp record is not too bad now.
