Since last year onwards IR is not running this train during summer as Happa_tiruvelvelli train startted, this train is going to complete ONE year. It was started in April 2010

No pantry. Carry enough food and water. Catering service in this train is avalibale between Vasai Road and Madgoan on both direction, appointed very recently by KRC for a private catering company.

SCR is planning to introduce a NEW Superfast Train between Kakinada Town and Mumbai CST(Via Guntur).
SCR GM Wrote a letter to Railway Board and they are waiting for approval.(He explain the same in guntur meet)
I think it's announced on Next Railway Budget happening in Feb 2011.
My Suggession is start this train in the 19:30 at CCT reach CSTM at 20:00

The railway timetable committee will be having a meeting inthe first week of Jaanuary 2011 to decide about the new trains and they will take a decision and wil forward to railway ministry and they have to take the decision about the train. so many hurdles to be cleared before a new traain announcement. So lets us hope for good news.

No dear you are wrong. they are going to meet on the first week of January 2011 but the date i am not sure but a fellow blogger has written the date as 7th and 8th. IRTTC has to approve the new trains and their TT and will forward to railway ministry. The railway ministry is the final decision and it is not mandatory that all the trains recommended by the TTC has to be announced in the budget. There will be soem omission and some inclusions also. Best example from l2010 budget was TTC which met at Puri in orrisa in January 2010 recommended for Bavannagar-kochuveli express which WR was suggesting for many years but was omitted in the final list by railway same for Bikaner -Coimbtore (via Konakan) also had the same fate and the surprise inclusion was pune -ernakulam bi weekly train by railway babus. This train comes from Pune via KR route but there is not a single halt on KR route between Panvel to Madgaon, then why this train runs on KR route, divert it from other route. Train have seven unreserved boogies but not a single halt on KR route. Is it justified, KR peoples have to fight with IR authorities.

Ys there is some logic in Mr. Manoj's statement. Please check train #12619, Matsyagandha Express it stops at Mangoan and Ked while its counterpart 2620 does not stop at these stations why? may be because of night journey.........so his logic may not be totally ruled out.........

Wait for some more time just before Railway budget some political parties will take initiative for more trains and more stops for trains running in KRC. This we have seen a few months back by MNS and Shiv sena demanding more stops in Konkan and for more trains.

Either increase the stops in between or attach pantry car because I did not get anything to eat when I travelled in this train from MAQ to MAJN from 06:00 AM till 11:00 AM.......:)

Yes and there will be local vendors selling foods itmes and water, also easily avaliable in the stations where the train stops.
One guy (not IRCTC men) will come after Mangalore taking orders for lunch and will be delivered between kasargod and Kannur.

Really NO idea....but read somewhere that IR is plannign to phase out pantry cars from the trains in future.
