Alcos are more than enough. 17 coaches. So a WDM3D is best suited to haul this train.

it was made superfast by railway board for users in coastal belt to reach Madgaon for catching superfast train to Delhi from there......most of the people here knew for sure that this train would fail to attract patronage......had it been Mangalore Central Hubli Jn Superfast Express via would have definitely good patronage if not for coastal belt then for Hubli people.

Hi! This is a requested train from a particular community after application for the same had been sent along with the number of passengers to attend a special grand function at Haridwar. It is a two way special train with the same rake returning back to Mangalore junction some days later.

This train was requested by GSB (Gowda Saraswathi Brahmin) s of Mangalore region to attend the function of thier seer at Haridwar. But Southern Railways have announced this train as Special Train. As the attendees to the function were more than the total accommodation available while booking the complete rake. Southern Railways have decided to run the train as a One Trip Special.

What a lovely TT. Duplicate Mangala on a different route. A lil more aggressive daily train on nearly these timings will run packed not only on MAQ-NZM section but also on NZM-HW.

I recently travelled in this train both to and from Bangalore, the coaches are very good with bio toilets, mobile charging points, comfy seats, and when towards Bangalore, the train reached 5 km to Bangalore station at 8 but was only allowed to reach the destination platform around 8:35 as some other train was present at that platform. It was bang on time at the originating station.

The passengers from or en route to Karwar may occupy SL seats until Mangalore Central, but upon showing the ticket, they may leave the seats for you...generally it would not be crowded.

There has recently been a lot of frustration among RFs when their Station Pics, Loco Pics, Train Pics get rejected because the "number is not showing", "shed is not visible", the loco/train is at a distance, Train Board is too small, "better pic available", etc. . To address this issue, effective tomorrow, ALL...

-@all members: As of recently, there has been a trend whereby minor name updates of Trains/Stations - whether such and such regional name should be there or not, whether the train should be called "Abc Express" or "Abc Superfast Express", etc. are threatening to take over the majority of Timeline entries. Also,...
