2: Waitlist# 19 (Booking Status: W/L 34,PQWL)

This is an E-Ticket.
Please let me know if second passenger's ticket is not getting confirmed or RAC, will the whole ticket get cancelled or only second passenger's booking will be cancelled and first passenger will be valid for journey ?
Also if only second passenger's booking is getting cancelled, is there any way through which he/she can travel in same class with first passenger?
Thanks.
Sarang

The second persons name will find a place in the chart. It will not be cancelled automatically. It has to be cancelled by filing TDR. The second person can travel in the same train in unreserved coach or if the TTE accepts can travel in the same compartment along with the first passenger but will not be allotted separate berth/seat. In case he does not travel, it is advisable to get an endorsement on the ticket that he has not travelled.

STill I am confused that how the second passenger got WL 19 directly and first one confirmed...Before doing E-booking, it was showing availability as 1. SO I was expecting one confirmed and another on W/L 1.. DO anyone know the logic behind this ???
