Is there any rule that if I dont show up within 3 -4 hours then only the TT can allot the birth to W/L passenger?Because it takes APDJ to NJP 3-4 hrs only.

I asked the Supervisor for change of Boarding point to NJP instead of APDJ. He told that you can board the train from SGUJ. or else you have to write a letter for change of boarding point to the desired Station.

I went to the supervisor with the requisition letter.He did not change the boarding point. He said that if you had booked the ticket from KYQ then he could have changed the boarding point but as you have booked tiket from APDJ so he cant do it. Now can anyone tell me what shall I do?

the problem is I am staying in Siliguri(NJP) and due to non availability of seats from NJP I booked my ticket from APDJ to PURI and boarding point is APDJ. Now I want to change the boarding point to NJP. Is this possible??

I went there again , this time he told me to make anyone of your passenger board from APDJ and he will say the TT that rest of the passengers are boarding from NJP.

He said that if you have bought the ticket from Kamakhya to puri then he could have easily changed the boarding point to any station. but as you have done it from between station i.e APDJ to Puri so we cant change the boarding station.He told that suppose there are 20 quotas from APDJ and 20 Quotas from NJP and now all the quotas from NJP are filled up now people would book from APDJ to PURI (as there is less demand from APDJ )instead of NJP to PURI and later on they will change the BP to NJP so there will be a loss to passengers of APDJ as they wont get the seats.

My case was similar to what the supervisor told. I also booked tiket from APDJ to PURI instead of NJP to PURI as the availability was not there from NJP.

This time I went to the PRS Supervisor of NJP and show him the letters. After seeing it carefully he stick back to the logic what the earlier PRS Supervisor(Siliguri) has said. So I was bit confused that how come both the PRS supervisors are saying the same thing.

Right now I am so confused that I am bound to think that change of boarding for my case is fair or unfair. Because I am from Siliguri(NJP) while I have booked tikets from APDJ due to non availability of seats from NJP. So if I change the boarding point to NJP will it be fair enough?So how will proceed to the supervisor?

A - B -C-D
Let say I want to travel from C to D.
according the supervisors if you have booked tickets from A(starting station) to D. then you can change the Boarding point C.But as you(in my case) have booked from B(middle station) to D so you cant change the boarding point to C

So what no problem at all because giving lots of train will not be the solution. By giving lots and lots of train which is not essential to a particular section just makes the railway services more degraded.
