Travel Question
Nov 12 2014 (15:02)   13022/Mithila Express | SGL/Sagauli Junction (2 PFs)

Waiting GKP ANVT Humsafar~   763 blog posts   2434 correct pred (70% accurate)

I have a query and look forward for your valuable opinion.
Saguali(sgl) is a junction between of motihari(mki)-bettiah(bth) line and saguali(sgl) and raxual(rxl) line.
Please see attached screenshot for clarification.
Now my query is when train comes from rxl to sgl and go forward to bth( for eg. train no 14573), there is no loco reversal.
when train comes from rxl to sgl and go forward to mki(for eg. train no 13022), loco reversal takes place.
This is pretty surprising since rxl-sgl line is orthogonal to mki-bth line, and therefore same thing should be applicable for both cases.
Please look into it and express your opinion.
Thanks in advance.

Check with the attached image,
Railway track confirmed that RXL to BTH via SGL = No Loco Reversal &
RXL to MKI via SGL = Loco Reversal

This train has an ICF rake. So the seating/sleeping capacity in 3A would be 64.

Actually illegal, but practiced thoroughly. The only risk is of appearance of TTE before yours.

Though official rule says that one has to board train from where booking is done, sometime TTE's on board do give relaxation for passengers boarding at next station if it is pretty closeby. Preferably if you can get boarding point changed to Haridwar Jn. it will be trouble free.

Yuu can get the boarding point changed in advance, without changind the status of ur reservation/berths:
If a passenger desires to occupy reserved accommodation from any station enroute, he would be permitted to entrain at any intermediate station he chooses irrespective of the distance from the starting station subject to the following conditions :
A specific request must be
made in writing at the station from where the ticket is purchased and reservation made atleast 24 hours before the scheduled departure of the train from the starting station.
The Railway Administration reserves the right to use such accommodation from the originating station up to the station at which the passenger is due to entrain.
No refund will be permissible for the portion of journey not performed by the passenger.

There has recently been a lot of frustration among RFs when their Station Pics, Loco Pics, Train Pics get rejected because the "number is not showing", "shed is not visible", the loco/train is at a distance, Train Board is too small, "better pic available", etc. . To address this issue, effective tomorrow, ALL...

-@all members: As of recently, there has been a trend whereby minor name updates of Trains/Stations - whether such and such regional name should be there or not, whether the train should be called "Abc Express" or "Abc Superfast Express", etc. are threatening to take over the majority of Timeline entries. Also,...
