A question about RLWL ticket and a tatkal tickets.
* I have two confirmed and two RLWL tickets (WL1 and WL2) of Lakshdweep Mangla from Chiplun (CHI) to Delhi (NDLS). What are the chances of getting the tkts confirmed?
* If I ask someone to book tatkal tickets for me from a railway counter, do I need to present the print ticket physically to TTE? Can showing PNR number and ID proofs is sufficient?

DOJ is May 10.
If not confirmed, what are my options? I personally can't book tickets, so have to ask someone else to do it.

Please post your PNR in PNR forum for better predictions. Normally RLWL tickets are slow in movement towards CNF status compared to GNWL tickets.
Regarding tatkal ticket booked at counter, you need to present the ticket physically to TTE during journey. Showing PNR and ID proof will not serve the purpose

one more question: can I book a waiting ticket (from counter), and board the coach (even if it does not get confirmed), pay fine to TTE, and travel?

To address this issue, effective tomorrow, ALL...
