NJP VB is reaching 20-30 mins before time at Malda . TT can be adjsted to recah NJP in 7 hours. Post 130 upto NJP further reduction to 6 hrs possible.

We can see NDLS Katra is best and Nagpur Bilaspur is worst . That shows in Patronage also. Contraty to popular believe Mumbai Ahmedabad is saving good time. I still believe VB would get good patronage if it starts/terminate at least one metro of six metro city. Running it between two non metro at start is wastage of resources as given the premium ticket rate it will not be getting good occupancy. There are routes like Nagpur Bilaspur which require good Jan Shatabdi . Running Vande Bharat on these routes will not benefit Railway as well as Public.

HWH Varanasi should be high priorty as it will complete full HWH NDLS line. HWH BSB via patna will show full potential for Vande bharat. HWH Bilaspur is much needed which in 4-5 years with line upgardation can be extended to Nagpur to complete full HWM Mumbai line.

Calcutta is a metropolitan city not a small town. Public transport & ola/uber is available through night. both BSB and Katra shatabdi reaches NDLS at 11 PM

Most of passenger using VB will not be using local bus anyway . Calcutta is geographically not very big city like NCR where you may have to pay 1000+ from NDLS to Gurgaon. Most of ola /uber even at late nigh you can get within 500 in calcutta city. Also yellow taxis are available and also prepaid counter are open at night also in howrah station. So reaching by 11 PM is not a issue at all.
