MG era of Aravali region came to an end in early 2017.

We 6 railfans were fortunate enough to undertake this journey during the last few months of its operation. It was my longest MG rail line journey and enjoyed every moment of it.

Super PALINDROME YDM-4 6666 took charge of our 52928 Ahmedabad-Udaipur City MG Fast Pass.

This meter gauge rail line passes through the beautiful green plains of Gujarat, Aravali ranges, Shyamal hills, and Zawar mine region.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM PART-1 OF THIS JOURNEY VIDEO?

1) Dept from pf12 of ADI and negotiating the remaining MG yard in Ahmedabad area.

2) Coverage of junction point where ADI-HMT and ADI-MSH MG line diverges. Enjoy the MG track sound as we pass through the yard.

3) Where does the BG rail line crossing over to UDZ line ends?

4) Passing through ADI Division DRM office building and ADI outskirts.

5) Racing with airplanes as Sardar Patel ADI airport is located nearby.

6) Enjoy the clickety-clack track sounds and smoking as we achieve MPS and pass through some green plains of Gujarat.

7) Couple of crossing with HMT-ADI Pass & Khed Brahma-ADI Pass.

Eventful Mumbai-Baroda journey that covered up delay of entire 35min created at Mumbai end

It wasn't a great start to my overnight journey to Baroda but the delayed start...

proved its worth by a blistering run that covered up entire delay of 35min.

My 12959 DDR-Bhuj SF Exp got a delayed start at DDR itself due to the failure of WAP5 30041 in DDR yard. A BRC WAP7 30476 came from BDTS to rescue the train.

We left Dadar (DDR) at 00:40hr instead of scheduled 00:05hr departure and arrived BRC at 0612hrs covering the entire section in mere 5hr32min.

Soon after the start to my journey, I realised that the 6000+ WAP7 horses had made their mind up to take the daunting task to cover the entire delay before I alight at Baroda.

Covering a 35min delay on a busy night of WR's VR-BRC section wasn't going to be an easy one. DDR-ST was an eventful stretch where we not only covered up partial delay but also had to overtake few trains. Post Surat it was purely all GREEEEN signals for us with full MPS run throughout till VS.
