I think that Varuna Exp can get a CNB WAP-4 which will take the train from Varanasi to Kanpur via Sultanpur - Lucknow - Unnao Route. The Varanasi - Jammu Begumpara Exp can be hauled by a LDH/MGS WAP-4. If Varanasi - Chandigarh Exp is introduced then it can get a GZB WAP-4. Marudhar Exp may get a GZB WAP-5 :-)

i doubt, as IR will avoid to introduce new system in the fogy month/weather. which includes late Dec12, whole Jan13 and half Feb13, and till that time we will have our rail budget 2013-14 which contain introduction of MEMU between sultanpur - lucknow, sultanpur - mgs, and MGS- LKO MEMU, With few (1 or 2 )new trains from varanasi or lucknow using electric via this section and few extension of patna/lucknow trains to varanasi and "extension of many trains from varanasi to other destination".

Some points to notice :-
--------
1) MGS and BSB both serve Rajdhani Trains but not a single Rajdhani(Or Shatabdi) plys between MGS & BSB.
2) MGS serves most number of Rajdhanis but not a single Shatabdi.
3)
...
Saharanpur serves Shatabdis but not a Single Rajdhani.
4) No Rajdhani or Shatabdi Train plys between Moradabad & Ambala Cantt via Saharanpur.
5) Shatabdi Trains are yet to serve MGS & BSB.
-------------------------
PS : If IRI Members can state any other interesting point regarding Rajdhanis/Shatabdis on North India Routes then you'll are welcome :-D

al the old mail trains from howrah have been made superfast, only this one is left ordinary, now IR should convert this into superfast and reduce the travel time as 38 hours is too much!!

Oh ... 1 loco shed at BSB and another at LKO, not a single one between these 2 stations in this 300+ Kms Distance <:-(
-----------
PS : A Trip Shed can be built at BSB, which can temporarily home some electric locos from BSB & LKO till the entire MGS-SLN-SRE Route becomes energized ;-)

There has recently been a lot of frustration among RFs when their Station Pics, Loco Pics, Train Pics get rejected because the "number is not showing", "shed is not visible", the loco/train is at a distance, Train Board is too small, "better pic available", etc. . To address this issue, effective tomorrow, ALL...

-@all members: As of recently, there has been a trend whereby minor name updates of Trains/Stations - whether such and such regional name should be there or not, whether the train should be called "Abc Express" or "Abc Superfast Express", etc. are threatening to take over the majority of Timeline entries. Also,...
