Student ID for Tatkal Ticket.
Hi,
One of my cousin has to travel with Tatkal ticket. But he doesn't have any other ID except School ID card. And this school Id card doesn't have any Serial Number. So can he travel? or can I put his roll no in the ‘ID card No’ while booking the ticket.
Please guide me…!!!

His ID card is already having Photo & School Stamp.
But at the time of Tatkal Booking we have to enter the 'ID card No'.
So wht to write there?

Is this certificate needed? because his ID card is having School name, Principal Signature and Stamp, Photo and Roll No.
I have mailed my query to care@irctc.co.in, they didn't reply specifically, but said that "Student Identity Card with Photograph issued by recognized School/College"
