Boarding Garib Rath Trains with waitlist tickets.
I have a waitlist ticket of"Bandra Terminus- Hazrat Nizamuddin Garib Rath/12909" for 25th october, 2011. Current status of ticket is waitlist 498 which will not be confirmed for sure.
Just want to know if I can board the train with waitlist ticket as this is a full AC train.

Yes, of course you can join the train. The 497 people in front of you will join. Everyone else behind you on the waiting list will join, and 350 people will turn up on the day without tickets and they will join.
You must also make sure you carry plenty of heavy luggage.

how a train can take 1h45m for 15 k.m. as shown in mugal sarai dep time and varanasi arrival time
According to the timetable this train leaves Mughal Sarai at 23.15 and is scheduled to arrive at Varanasi Junc. at 23.48.
It is a long time since I was at school, but I am fairly certain that this is less than 1hr 45mins.
Others will no doubt correct me if I am mistaken.

There is little to disagree with in your statement, with the exception of the word "express".
A train with an average speed of 43km per hour can hardly be dignified with the title Express.

This problem comes up regularly on this site.
If two or more people book together, of course they all want to travel together. Indian Railways reservation computer system should be amended so that either all passengers on a ticket are confirmed or none of them is confirmed.

I want to travel by this train from madgaon to Bangalore city on august 14 th sunday !! Please tellme the ticket availability !! if i try it says information is not available ryte now !! One more thing when i saw the ticket availability on last monday for Other dates it shows 30 available ?? what does it means ? Only 1 sleeper coach ?? Then no return journey for this train ?? What will they do with 1 sleeper coach ? do the run this train with 1 SL coach or Link with other train ? then how will they issue the ticket ? Please Help me Admins !!!

You can currently only book up to 12 August. That is 88 days from today, so I agree that you would think it possible to book today for 14 August. However it looks as though you will have to wait 2 more days, but remember everyone is in the same boat so you will still have the same chance of getting your confirmed booking.
The 30 berth allocation is simply the general allocation, you must remember that berths will also be held for the Road Side quota, the Remote Location quota, the Pooled Quota, Tatkal etc. etc.
