Barddhaman - Howrah Super which departs Barddhaman at 8.35 am should be terminated at Sealdah. It is very needful for Barddhaman passengers.HWH - BWN Super which departs at 17.27 pm from Howrah should be also shifted to Sealdah. Dalhousi, Burrabazar passengers may be affected. I suggest them to catch the Prinsepghat Local from Dumdum station.

I think that some Duronto Express should be reconsidered and converted into an AC express which allows reservations on intermediate stations. For eg, the Mumbai Indore Duronto Express : This train goes empty most of the time, atleast in non peak seasons as there aren't as many people who will travel in AC on this route (all the way from Mumbai to Indore). Hence there should be some consideration in some trains.
A lot of my relatives and friends travel between Mumbai and Ratlam and this train has very good timings for travel on this route reaching Ratlam at 7:40 am in the morning. Right now, they have to pay the full fare upto Indore to travel upto Ratlam

which is more than Rs. 200 difference.

if the reservation is allowed for intermediate station, then they have to allow boarding also from that station, and it will make a huge mess to the train, so pay extra and travel safe!!

I get ur point.. but a little bit of planning and reconsideration could lead to increased revenues and convenience for public... For people travelling to n from Ujjain, its not so tough as the fare difference could be very low... but this could help people travelling to/from ratlam greatly as Ratlam is a major Junction and there aren't any trains for mumbai or delhi or other major destinations apart from a couple or more of short haul express n passenger trains originating from Ratlam.... Its next to impossible or very hard to get reservation on Mumbai-Ratlam or Delhi Ratlam and other sectors even 1 month prior during most part of the year...

I think railways must ensure following to ensure timely run of this train..
1. It must be given an Wap5/7 upto patna for better acceleration as it has got man stops enroute..
2. From patna a WDP4 will do the job..
3. An extra rake should be provided.
4.
...
Railways must create an committee or form a department to look for delays..
5. The priority must be increased.

No its not the reason, there are many trains at that time, the problem is that its priority is so low in that area that it even gives pass to passenger trains.. Moreover the problem is there in return journey as it starts from patna at 1800 h.. just after the office hours.. So better reschedule it on the return journey...

thats true, and the local ppls dont spare any train, even rajdhani gets delayed with such acts, so the entire traffic is delayed during the office hours towards patna

yeah truly, trains like sampoorna kranti, poorva also suffer this fate, the implementation of law and order is not strict in bihar, the reason for all thiss..

the solution may arrive in such a way that long distance passing by trains must leave patna by 6 am , during office/shool hours express trains should be avoided to ply on this route,
however the trains originating and terminating at patna should be take care that they are not messing with local office/student timings.

No then, that will create so much congestion in the route.. Its not a solution, the solution is that these superfast trains mustn't have such stops.. Moreover if the stops are provided then the TT should be changed, as there are many trains suffering this, the arrival time at patna has remained same, but numerous stops were added. If this many stops were added, then the TT should have been changed accordingly... The law enforcement should be strict.. Such unsocial elements vandalising public property must not be dealt softly...

There has recently been a lot of frustration among RFs when their Station Pics, Loco Pics, Train Pics get rejected because the "number is not showing", "shed is not visible", the loco/train is at a distance, Train Board is too small, "better pic available", etc. . To address this issue, effective tomorrow, ALL...

-@all members: As of recently, there has been a trend whereby minor name updates of Trains/Stations - whether such and such regional name should be there or not, whether the train should be called "Abc Express" or "Abc Superfast Express", etc. are threatening to take over the majority of Timeline entries. Also,...
