Out of these 1 pair Rampurhat train may be operated from Satragachi bypassing Howrah. It will take route from SRC to Rampurhat via ACC Link Bankra Nayabaz , Bhattanagar, Dankuni , BWN.

is it REALLY required? a few days back i ws discussing with a railfan about luxury and necessity...later he assorted to rough words and tangential slangs against me and i hd to quit the discussion mid way...people of src can come to hwh...its hardly 10km plus well connected by road cum rail...trains from hwh are doing well...shifting to src/shm may hamper the daily passengers and frequent travellers trains i feel is nt the need of the hour...and then it again comes to luxury and necessity...

It will be superhit if at least 10 pair ER train given at Satragachi. People can faith that ER can be got at SRC. If 1 train is given passengers will not be interested for uncertainty unless train leave, they don't get substitute train which is possible at HWH. It will be great for ER / SER to movement train easily by ACC Link Bhattanagar. Sealdah-Puri duronto superhit train is great example

Near R G kar hospital a new metro station is needed between Belgachia & Shyambazar. Kolkata station is very near. So passengers at Kolkata Terminal can use R G Kar Mtero station to arrive anywhere in South Kolkata.

Mr Roy, Good suggestion. But technically it is absolutely not feasible due to earth condition and geotechnical reason. The stretch between Shyambazar Belgachiya was very challenging to design and construct. However nothing is impossible. The cost of building one station will be not economical with the service produced.

can you tell me details about problem ? I know that a canal is here. That is why the soil is very soft ???? If it is possible I think Kolkata Terminal can get great revolution in transport. It will be fantastic Terminal even better than Sealdah or Howrah.

Hi Mr Roy, Answer to your question is partly in your statement. Yes one of the factor is ground is clay and has poor bonding characteristics, 2 open cut method for making tunnel there is challenging. HDD drilling will interfere with the regular services of metro. There is not provision in existing design to make any modification at this stage. I think these many reason will satisfy you to rest this topic for now.

Mr Roy it is very good suggestion for Railway. But it is very tough to close Metro Rail even a day. Both side platform building may close Metro Rail 7 days. Passengers will agitate as Metro is the heart of Kolkatan.

Million candidates send application for Gr D examination in Railways, but only 20000 get job after a hard fight. Do you know thousands boys who are uneducated & illiterate get Gr D job as Bunglow peon every year. They are recruited without examination & Physical Efficiency test (1500 meters run in 6 Minutes)..They can not sign their name also. They work as Bunglow peon & posted within 3 years in Rail office when Rail Officer is posted another place. They get salary 18000 Rs at starting level if they are posted in A1 city.Generally Rail Officer choose them from their relatives

Barddhaman - Howrah Super which departs Barddhaman at 8.35 am should be terminated at Sealdah. It is very needful for Barddhaman passengers.HWH - BWN Super which departs at 17.27 pm from Howrah should be also shifted to Sealdah. Dalhousi, Burrabazar passengers may be affected. I suggest them to catch the Prinsepghat Local from Dumdum station.

BWN - HWH is right. But BWN - SDAH is also helping hand. BWN passengers really miss SDAH train.

There has recently been a lot of frustration among RFs when their Station Pics, Loco Pics, Train Pics get rejected because the "number is not showing", "shed is not visible", the loco/train is at a distance, Train Board is too small, "better pic available", etc. . To address this issue, effective tomorrow, ALL...

-@all members: As of recently, there has been a trend whereby minor name updates of Trains/Stations - whether such and such regional name should be there or not, whether the train should be called "Abc Express" or "Abc Superfast Express", etc. are threatening to take over the majority of Timeline entries. Also,...
