A Dayout at the Heaven of High Speed Action!
This is the report of the trip which i made with Railfan Somjit Sanyal Da on 28th December 2012. sorry for posting late.
The day started as Somjit Da said we are going to begumpur. he said that he will come by Sealdah baruipara Local . as per the timings i departed my home at sodepore and reached barangar road. I have decied the 13.33 Dankuni local.but it was late.

i called anal ghosh da about loaction of Shatabdi express. as soon the call was finished Bardhaman WDM3A Chugged and Honked past with Kolkata Balurghat Express.
Then there was a announcement.
"1 nombor diye through train"(Throgh Train From Platform 1).
As soon as the annoucement was Finished, Ghaziabad White Beast WAP7 30252 Massively Honked as it emerged out of the curve and blasted at sectional MPS. Our Admin Arkya da was onboard it.
As soon as the Duronto passed. the signal on platform 2 was red but i saw an WAP4 coming from Sealdah side. as soon as the Wappie reached the Platform Signal turned itself to green. then the WAP 4 Decided show its power. it honked massively and Accelarated passed me with Sealdah Amritsar Jalianwalabagh Express. The WAP 4 Passed me at about 10kph and the last Coach passed me at about 50kph.Mean while That WAP4 was Number 22521 from Howrah.
After that a Funny honking MGS WAG7 passed from Platform1 with BOXN Rakes
Then my local arrived and i boarded it. Crossed Bally bridge and Reached Dankuni. as soon i disembarked the local at Dankuni. Howrah-Chandanpur local arrived and i boarded it. As the train left Dankuni WDP4 20071 (most probably) in LHF Slowly Crossed us with late 12042 NJP-HWH shatabdi Express.
Once Reached Begumpur. Found Out the station was almost empty. I took a concrete bench with tile top for seating. then i heard a Wappie honk. yes it was A Howrah One that Blasted at MPS with Patna Jan shatabdi Express. i could not manage d to take a video beacuse as soon i began recoding with my phone camera.Somjit da called and informed about his coming.
After That, electric Horn Equipped WDM3A with GM DBR from Bardhaman Blasted with Kolkata Bound Tebhaga Express through Reverse line.
Just minutes later, WAP4 22530 from Howrah Thundered past with Jabalpur Bound Shaktipunj Express.
10 Minutes later. Bardhaman WDM3A 16337 Passed with Rampurhat Sealdah Express.
Suddenly Somjit Da Called and Said "Heavy offlink jacche tor dike,ami dankuni te,kichukkhoner modhyei aschi"(A Big offlink is going towards you.I am at Dankuni. I will Come Shortly)
As said,Few Minutes Later Green Chilli WDG3A 14768 from Andal Shed Rocketed past through UP line Muzzafapur Bound Express from Yesvantpur.
Couple of Minutes Later Abu Road WDM2A Slowly Passed through Down Line with Sare Jahan Sein Achha Expres at its Tow.
Then the Sealdah Baruipara Local Arrived. it was in Rupa Frontline Livery. As soon it left. i saw a Handsome,Tall,Beautiful and Smart Guy of about 5'10". with glasses looking at me with a Kodak Camera in his hand. i quickly figured out that he is none other than Somjit Sanyal aka Rik da,the Hardcore EMD lover like me. To be precise. we were like "enemies" a day ago.then we went to a casual railfan conversation.
15 minutes later. the return local from BRPA was made to halt outside the station.Note:BPAE does not have starter signals. then a Blue Loco Emerged from howrah side. we quickly figured out that it was noneother than the new boss,New Jalpaiguri Shatabdi Express, As soon it reached the platforit honked Massively, Stunned every person on the platform and Blsted at about 120kph. making authnetic LHB sounds . And to our Joy,BAAZ Liviered Original EMD Built WDP4 20004 from Siliguri was at the helm of shatabdi.
Couple of minutes later the sky went cloudy as Mughalsarai grand daddy WAP4 22208 with Super Crawler Jammu Tawi Kolkata Express through Downline at about 30 kph.
Then a WAM4 From Asansol passed with Jasalmer Howrah Express through down line as Saraighat Express Blasted at MPS trhoudgh UP Line with Wonderful Twin Tne Honking from its puller WDP4 20073 from SGUJ.
After That a GMO WAG7 in WAP4 Shell Flied Past Up line with Coal Loaded BOXN Rake
10 minutes later. Howrah WAP4 22396 Blasted at Near MPS with Agra Cantonment Kolkata Express.
Few Minutes Later. Jamalpur WDM3A with Shantiniketan Express Slowed down as it reached the Platform. suddenly the Signal turned Green and WDM3A hnoked a bit then Smoked and Chugged heavly. followed by a Massive Acceleration. We Saw Railfan Kaustabh Samaddar Da "Windowplating" (taking pictures from window. most preferably emergency one) and Rohit Basu Da Doorplating dangeuously.
Then as the sky turned a bit darker. and lighting began with thunders. all signal that was visible through the horizon of up line towards BWN, Showed All Green. Which Shows nothing Other that the King of All Rajdhanis, 12301 Howrah Delhi Rajdhani is Approching.
and it was. there She is, Ghaziabad milky white WAP7 30253 Thundered past with Howrah Rajdhani with one extra coach. We quicly checked simran that it was at 128kph!
Few Minutes later the signals again showed all Green. then the sky turned itself to dark blue.and thunders and lighting began.It was a Amazing Atmosphere.
And them the Deputy king 12313 Sealdah New Delhi Rajdhani Express Rocketed past with Ghaziabad Based WAP7 30285. This loco has become a regular visitor to ER.we again Checked SIMRAN and found out Sealdah Rajdhani was at nothing less than 130!
Few minutes later Bardhaman Howrah Local arrived and we boarded it. as soon it left Begumpur. Heavy Rains Started. and all dors and shutters of EMU were closed. still we were able to figure out WAP7 from Howrah 30308 Crossed us with Coalfield Express at Gobra through small hole at the door.
Few Minutes later We Reached Dankuni. and under heavy rains and my Big Umbrella We maded it to the sheded portion on platform 1/2 and began eating Tea.yes the "Garma-Garam Chai" Has a Special charm, when it has to do something with Railways.
Meanwhile the rain was stopped and a Waist Headlamp Mounted loco emarge from the end of platform 1.
It was EX-WAP6 and Currently WAP4 From Howrah with Gwalior bound Chambal Express which blasted at about 70kph as the TSR was lifted at Dankuni.
We Then Boarded Dankuni-Sealdah local from which was sett todepart Plat form1 at 18.18hrs. it arrived only at 18.17hrs. it was a Brand New Rake with Blue Padded Seats. the train Departed at 18.22hrs. we spotted at Speed Restrcition Board of 120kph just agter Dankuni on the Reverse line. As the th train reached Baranagar Road i got down. bid adieu to Rik da, who wa to continue his journey to Bidhannagar. I Cameand crossed BT road. Boarded a Auto. Reached home within 15 minutes and started Uploading videos.
