Ysterday Myself along with Sai Mata Seva Trust Jagadeesh & 4 other people from Kuppam met with Sr DCM SBC , Sr DOM SNBC & ADRM SBC ( as DRM SBC is on leave due to ill health) & submitted letter for providing various trains halts/services for Kuppam Railway station.

1) Stoppage for 08543/44 VSKP-SMVT Bengaluru Exp :- SWR authorities informed that the existing timetable is proposed by East Coast Railway ECoR as it is their train, now SWR will send proposal to Railway Board for stoppage of train @ Kuppam. SWR has given firm assurance that they would provide halt @ Kuppam .
2) Stoppage for 22601/02 Chennai Central- Sai Nagar Shirdi Weekly Exp :- SWR informed that stoppage for Shirdi Exp @ Kuppam Station is already sent to Railway Board for final approval, Once approval comes from RB, train will halt @ Kuppam.
3) Stoppage for 12657/58 Bangalore-Chennai Mail :- SWR informed that mail stoppage @ Kuppam cannot be provided as it is operationally not feasible for Railways.
4) Extension of 01769/70 SBC –BWT MEMU to Kuppam :- SWR informed extension of Bangarpet Memu to Kuppam is operationally not feasible, but they are planning to introduce 2 more MEMU trains from Kuppam to Bangalore. Once rakes are available MEMU trains will be started from Kuppam(may take 4-5 months time as per SWR)
5) LED based Coach Indicator Display :- SWR informed that currently Kuppam is in NSG-4 Category Railway station, Once Kuppam comes under NSG-3 category then LED based Coach Indicator Display will be provided automatically.
Overall SWR authorities were very positive on the issues we have raised & assured that they will put their best efforts in fulfilling our needs.
