Recently I visited Howrah station. I am surprised about the situation of this station. Station is very large, but management is very low. Howrah town is very inhygenic, dirty, uncleaned and vogus town.Traffic management is very poor. What a hail Howrah city is! Terminal in Mumbai is far better than Howrah.Mumbai CST has 18 platforms,Mumbai LTT has 12 platforms, that is why they are better one.Howrah containing 23 platform,I remark that huge 23 platform is the only reason for bad condition of Howrah.Follow Mumbai, make more terminals within 20 platform at differnt location.I heard from passengers that Kolkatan depend for long travelling only on Howrah.Other terminals are lame. Why?????I can not get answer.Hope anybody will answer

I told Howrah city is inhygenic, dirty, hail.I have not told this about Howrah station,Howrah station is average clean.Actually I felt irritated when I went outside Station,Kura is very better than Howrah city.Bus,taxi were in chaos, traffic movement was like snell.I commented about low management in Howrah Station, I was blocked 30 minutes entering my train into Howrah station.I think high number of trains is the main reason due to this.Mumbai is the largest population city in India, largest number of trains in India. but largest station is Mumbai CST contains only 18 platform.Long distance going trains are ditributed in the other terminals like LTT,Bandra,Central etc.West Bengal is always far behind from getting improvement. It is absurd 23 platform in a station.I emphasize on building other terminals better for the improvement of WB

I read all the comments from IR fan member.I understand that some contradiction happening between WB Govt and IR. Why good transport facility not available at Shalimar or Kolkata Terminal ????Why new platform is not built at Sealdah stn ???? What Mamata Banerjee doing. She is responsible of improvement of Transport adjacent to Shalimar or Kolkata Terminal. Now she is Chief Minister of WB.I think she is not interested to improve road, train frequency increasing is not only way.Howrah stn may improve, but transport crawling is not improved. Howrah town is related with Howrah stn. When passengers get down, they face with Howrah town to go Kolkata. That is why I worry about Howrah town.Is there any plan of flyover in Howrah Town ?????Otherwise train frequency should decrease and some trains should shift to other well transport terminal

My first experience was very bad. When I went outside station,I was confused is it metropolitan city ?????I never watch such a bad city. Some nearer public told me to take taxi to go Kolkata.I comment about Kolkata that it is far better than Howrah.I never see such worse entry point of city. Can IR not build terminals in the central Kolkata ????Otherwise Kolkata will be assumed as poor city if its entry point Howrah is hail.

Howrah is having enough train from Mumbai. But Mumbai has not direct connectivity with Kolkata.Sealdah is in Central Kolkata. So I wanted Mumbai CST - Sealdah Express.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
