How is the 12863 Hwh Ypr Exp train. I mean is it as good as 12245 Duronto Exp? One of my elder aunt is travelling alone is the AC 3tier. If someone can provide me some review, it would be helpful.

Thanks everybody for the prompt responses. Though I bought her a ticket for Duronto on 10-July, but the status is WL9 for AC3Tier as of now. Not sure whether it will get confirmed. :(

kaushik8549 15 blog posts08004 one of the worst SPL trains. I bought tickets for a friend of mine who is travelling to Kolkata from YPR. The train itself left the station 45 mins late and now running almost 2 hours late. To make is worse the A1 compartment's AC is not working since the train left YPR and no technician is able to figure out the reason for it.

Ohh that will be tough. Even my friend who is travelling in that train has an exam in Kolkata. About the faulty AC rake, heard that it was faulty even while making the journey to YPR. Can anyone suggest me if he can get a refund for the non working AC? What will be the procedure? The TT is yet to come to the compartment.

The train is already running more than 2.5 hrs late and the A1's AC is not working. :(

okay. though the TTE is yet to be seen, I'll keep my friend informed about the same.
update: though the passengers has protested about the same. The IR people has agreed to return the AC fare after deducting the regular sleeper fare. but they're suffering due to lack of ventilation on AC coaches.
